To further my campaign to become the Labour candidate for the York Outer constituency, I have released a DVD. This DVD has taken me ages to produce. It explains my priorities for York Outer and more about me as a possible candidate. I filmed, edited, printed and burnt all of them. However it only cost me £40. Here it is…

James Alexander

Hello there, I am the Prospective Labour MP for York Outer.

I am a young, Labour Councillor for Holgate ward in the City of York. I won my seat against the national trend, from the Liberal Democrats. More recently I have also been elected as York's Children and Young People's Champion.

I am hoping to use this medium to let you know what it is like to be a Councillor, what it is like to stand for Parliament, to build a conversation between myself and residents and to encourage more people to get involved in our community. It is time that more ordinary people like me got involved in politics. I think it is time for change.
